AGM on Sunday 2nd June – “A three in one event!”

We are hoping to make this year’s AGM a special event – it has been quite a year for the association.

To celebrate a great year, we are holding three events in one:

  1. A country walk starting at 5:00 pm at the memorial hall
  2. The AGM at 6:15 pm
  3. A celebration social straight after the AGM with Cheese, Drinks and Nibbles

So..Sunday 2nd June starting at 5:00 pm.  Please come and have your say in the future of the association.

More dates for “Sandwich and Stroll” and “Zumba Gold ” events

All are open to all residents of Burgh Heath and are free of charge thanks to funding from the Surrey County Council “Your Councillor Community Fund”

The Sandwich and Stroll events take place on Sunday (see the flyer below for dates) afternoons meeting at the Memorial Hall at 3:00 pm. If you just want to come for the sandwiches, please come to the hall at 4:15 pm. These are very friendly events and a good chance to meet fellow residents.

The Zumba Gold events are designed for people who feel they are not quite up to full on Zumba. They happen roughly fortnightly (but see the flyer below for details) at the memorial hall – always on a Saturday starting at 11:00 pm for 30 minutes and then tea and biscuits.

Free Gentle Exercise Classes

Dear Neighbours. The Residents’ Association is offering a short programme of 30 minute gentle exercise classes at the Memorial Hall, starting 3rd February at 11:00 am. These are free of charge thanks to funding from Banstead Primary Care Network. Tea and biscuites will be served afterwards. The attached flyer gives more information.

Supper and Quiz Night: October 21st

We shall be holding another quiz and supper evening on Saturday October 21st at the Memorial Hall. We are going to start a little earlier this year, due to requests. Please arrive soon after 6:30 for a prompt 7:00 start. Teams have a maximum of eight people . Smaller groups and individuals can be combined to form teams on the evening. Our regular quiz master, David Wharton, will preside. Food will be provided by Hardy’s fish and chips who will offer their full menu. The charge will be £15 per head if you want fish and chips or £10 per head for pie (steak and kidney, beef and onion, chicken and mushroom), sausage (“jumbo” or battered), chicken (all with chips). Vegetarian options include veggie burger, vegetable spring rolls or halloumi sticks – or cheesy chips (all at £10 per head). Eating is not compulsory. If you wish to join us and not eat, the charge is £3. It is really important that you register in advance by contacting Chris Haslett on cjhaslett@aol.com or 07825 874215 or 01737 362380.
