Thank you to everyone who entered the BHRA’s second photography competition!
Thanks also go to our wonderful judge, who lives near to Burgh Heath and has a wealth of professional photography experience.
Here are the winning entries for each category with our judge’s feedback:
Category 1: 8-11 years
Winner: Thea

Judge feedback: A delightful little woodland world spotted at exactly the right height. The young photographer has looked closely and noticed something most of us would walk straight past. The tiny mushrooms, glistening with droplets in the fresh green grass, are beautifully framed and give the picture a gentle, magical feel.
Category 2: 12-17 years
Winner: Megan

Judge feedback: A lovely imaginative piece of nature art, photographed with real care. The careful pattern of leaves and acorns radiating from the tree creates a striking design that celebrates autumn colour and texture. It shows patience, creativity, and a strong eye for patterns in the natural world.
Category 3: 18+
Winner: Monika

Judge feedback: It’s a beautifully executed close-up; full of texture, detail and a sculptural quality that really stands out, all set against a soft, atmospheric forest backdrop.
Prizes and certificates will be available to collect at the BHRA Christmas party (19th December from 5pm at Burgh Heath Memorial Hall).
Delivery can also be arranged if you can’t make it to the event.
